Indigo Run Plantation is a gated residential community located on the north end of the Island, directly across from Hilton Head Plantation. It consists of 1,780 private acres and is bordered by Broad Creek on the south and the William Hilton Parkway to the north. Indigo Run contains four private communities and is the newest of the Island´s plantations. The Golden Bear Golf Club community is the main residential area with homes surrounding the semi-private Golden Bear Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The Golf Club at Indigo Run is a members-only signature golf course and the only one designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son, designated "Top Ten New Private Course in 1996" by Golf Digest. Residential communities include The Golf Club at Indigo Run, to waterfront living along Broad Creek in The River Club, waterfront living in Broad Pointe, and the luxury and convenience of Berwick Green. Residents are offered a wide range of recreational activities including golf, biking along winding roadways, tennis and swimming.
