Oldfield Plantation is an 860-acre private club community on the banks of the Okatie River, located off route 170, between Bluffton-Hilton Head Island and Beaufort. The plantation dates back to the 1700´s with British troops burning the property in the Revolutionary War and Union gunboats shelling it in the Civil War during the Battle of Port Royal. Today, Oldfield is a private community built along a spectacular Greg Norman golf course with nature trails, saltwater marsh and the meandering Okatie River. Its equestrian center is a 20-acre facility dedicated to horses and equestrian pursuits and is available to members only. Homes and cottages are designed with a traditional Lowcountry style that fits the gently rolling landscape. At the heart of the community is the River Club, which is a gathering place for family and neighbors to enjoy time together, build friendships and enjoy fine dining.
