   Alligator Grille - Last year popular Alligator Grille opened in their much larger, beautiful new premises at Park Plaza, near the Sea Pines main gate.   Old Fort Pub - What is now one of Hilton Head Island's favorite and finest "fine dining" restaurants, serving steak, seafood and Lowcountry favorites, started out in a humbler fashion, named with its next door neighbor in mind, Fort Mitchel. The menus reflect the tradition of the Island plus "New Southern" Cuisine.    Harold's Diner - "If you don't eat here, we both starve" is the motto of Harold's Diner.  Probably as much as a hole-in-the-wall one could find, but an Island tradition for a very long time.  Serving breakfast and lunch starting at 6:00 am until about 3:00 pm.  Harold's features great omelettes and they have consistently been rated as having the best hamburger on the Island.    Hilton Head Diner - A typical diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with an extensive menu.  A long-time Island tradition, located on Hwy 278, just East of the Palmetto Dunes entrance.  They make their own pastries and breads on premises.  Rumored to have the best homemade chocolate cookie on the Island!
